First Make Music, Then Make History

Natahsa_Banner_2.jpg For over a decade now, VH1 Save The Music has worked to provide students with the necessary resources to be inspired through music and I join them in their mission, as an Ambassador.

Music has always provided an outlet where I can take anything that's happening in my lives or in the life of people around me and put it into a song. Let's make sure all children in America's public schools have the opportunity to express themselves creatively through music.

From July – September 2008, LG Mobile Phones and the VH1 Save The Music Foundation partnered with Grammy-Nominated singer-songwriter Natasha Bedingfield. Bedingfield donated a live version of her song “Angel” – off her sophomore release, Pocketful Of Sunshine, to create an exclusive ringtone to benefit The Foundation. The promotion is also featured a full page advertisement in Rolling Stone Magazine and a vignette highlighting Natasha Bedingfield in her quest to raise awareness and the necessary funding to make sure that music is available for as many children as possible. To check out more footage about Natasha's involvement with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, check out vignette she taped in support of the Third Annual Big Shopping Day on April 26th, 2007 at BOULEVARD3 in Los Angeles here.

As a VH1 Save The Music Foundation Ambassador, Natasha also made a surprise visit to PS 180 in Harlem on September 9th, 2008 to celebrate the final leg of the ring tone promotion with LG Mobile Phones and the Foundation. In addition to the visit, Natasha performed "Pocketful of Sunshine" and “Unwritten” for the packed auditorium at the PS 180 (a 2001-recipient of a VH1 Save The Music guitar lab) during the school assembly.
