NEW YORK, NY (April 15th, 2010) -- On Saturday May 1st, 2010, two-time Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Caron Wheeler will attend Fashion To Figure’s (FTF) grand opening celebration of its newest store at Bay Plaza Shopping Center, in the Bronx, New York. 10% of all sales from the day will be donated to VH1’s Save The Music Foundation. FTF is Caron’s favorite clothing store and she remarked, “Fashion To Figure inspires, encourages and enlightens me to do more even beyond my own performance craft with such great style.”
FTF is excited to partner with Ms. Wheeler for this Grand Opening event to help support the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, whose mission is to “ensure that every child has access to a complete education that includes the benefits of music instruction,” and operates in many schools across New York City, including fifty-nine schools in the Bronx. “Caron is a fantastic musician and performer. It is great to have her as a customer and friend at FTF,” said FTF Co-Founder and CEO Michael Kaplan. NEW YORK, NY (April 1st, 2010) -- On Saturday, May 1st, 2010 at 1:00 PM, Fashion To Figure (FTF) will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its newest store at Bay Plaza Shopping Center, in the Bronx, New York. FTF is pleased to announce that 10% of all sales from the day will be donated to VH1’s Save The Music Foundation, whose mission is to “ensure that every child has access to a complete education that includes the benefits of music instruction,” and operates in many schools across New York City, including fifty-nine schools in the Bronx.
“FTF is thrilled to open our new location in the Bay Plaza Shopping Center and team-up with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation in supporting the Bronx community by raising awareness about the importance of music as part of children’s education, as well as fulfilling the FTF mission of making people’s lives better by providing them with ultimate full-fashion shopping experience” said FTF Co-Founder and CEO Michael Kaplan. Thursday, 11 March 2010The 2010 “March with the Arts” concert sponsored by the Indiana Music Educators Association featured instrumental music performers from Indianapolis Public Schools performing publicly at the Indiana Statehouse in Indianapolis. In conjunction with national Music in our Schools Month, the concert honored the hard work, dedication and talent of elementary, middle school and high school students throughout IPS. This concert served as a visual and musical reminder of everything that young musicians and their instructors have accomplished throughout the year and a reminder of the progressive partnership between VH1 Save the Music Foundation and Bright House Networks that has restored instrumental music education in all IPS elementary schools.
