BILL KRAMER NAMED SENIOR DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT FOR THE VH1 SAVE THE MUSIC FOUNDATION
NEW YORK, October 17, 2005 – Bill Kramer has been named Senior Director of Development for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation. It was announced by Paul Cothran, Executive Director, VH1 Save The Music Foundation, to whom he reports.
In this role, Kramer will be responsible for overseeing the fundraising initiatives to support the programs and mission of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation including achieving financial goals of The Foundation’s annual multi-million dollar development effort, and creating strategic partnerships and corporate sponsorship opportunities, as well as cultivating support from major individual donors and foundations.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have found a candidate with Bill’s record of achievement, love of music, and passion for fundraising to join our accomplished team,” said Cothran. “Bill has an impressive record in increasing grant funding and broadening the base of individual support at prestigious non-profits.”
Most recently, Kramer was the Director of Development for the Miller Theater at Columbia University. While at the Miller Theater, Kramer managed Board Development, Individual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Relations; and he increased contributed revenue by 500%, raising over $2.2 million annually.
Kramer has also served as the Director of Individual Giving and Special Events at the Sundance Institute, where he organized the Institute’s major gift efforts, increasing individual donations by 400% and raising over $3.2 million.
Kramer earned a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Public Administration form New York University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Kramer also serves as the Chair of the Finance Committee and Board Treasurer for NewFest Film Festival.
