-Actor/Musician donates a portion of his album sales to create awareness towards music education -

Los Angeles, CA. - Actor/Musician Billy Burke - most known for his roles in the “Twilight Saga”, “Along Came a Spider”, and “Fracture” - is thrilled to announce his newest role: a partner in the VH1 Save the Music Foundation. Inspired by VH1 Save the Music’s dedication to providing every child access to a complete education that includes music, Billy Burke will be donating a percentage of the proceeds from his newly released debut album “Removed.”

“Art (in any form) is really just a quest for some sort of remedy for that ‘lack of understanding’ and like it or not, our lives are constantly influenced by the product of that quest and the people who set out on it. I’m pretty sure I didn’t recognize this philosophy when I was a kid but I definitely wanted to be one of THOSE people and I myself couldn’t understand those who didn’t.”

Billy Burke - with his intensity and passion - is taking action now, by combining efforts with the VH1 Save The Music Foundation, to provide children across the country with an opportunity to be one of “those people” who influence the lives of millions through music. Billy believes strongly in the importance of the VH1 Save The Music Foundation and is excited to take part in helping to jump start instrumental musical education in public schools.

The VH1 Save the Music Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to restore instrumental music education in America’s public schools and bring awareness to the importance of music as a part of every child’s complete education. For over a decade the STM Foundation has served as an essential voice for the importance of musical education, impacting the lives of 1.4 million public school students at 1,700 schools in 100 cities nationwide. To date, STMF has donated $45 million worth of musical instruments, providing people with the tools necessary to Be Proactive (Not Reactive) to ensure that all children have the opportunity to expand their minds and imagine endless possibilities through a musical education.
